Nitrogen dynamics in grain cropping systems integrating multiple ecologically based management strategies

چکیده
Nitrogen (N) management is a critical agronomic challenge, as N losses are source of pollution affecting both waterways and air quality potential economic loss for farmers. One approach to conservation through ecologically based agricultural systems that reduce tillage incorporate cover crops. However, these exhibit considerable complexity resulting in trade-offs. To address concerns, four crop were implemented within an organically managed corn–soy–winter grain rotation. These varied frequency intensity, species selection, termination establishment methods, fertilizer management, cash season length. We used field measurements investigate the impact each system on pools reveal strengths weaknesses addressing provisioning services, with focus supply retention before after corn phase All had greater estimated inputs (via manure N-fixation) than outputs harvest) at end three-year rotation, demonstrating importance prioritizing Interactions among components important drivers temporal dynamics; traits timing application contributed differences total aboveground plant biomass systems. For example, one cropping which included no-till planting into rolled mulch soil inorganic availability was asynchronous needs even though it received same amount other In general, neither interseeding mixtures nor reducing resulted marked benefits level; we did not observe improved from either practice systems, there no increase uptake by corn. What clearly emerge this experiment managing synchrony between demand influenced capacity crops mineralization due tillage.

Nitrogen Fertilizer Management in Dryland Wheat Cropping Systems
Wheat is the most widely cultivated food crop in the world, which provides nutrition to most of the world population and is well adapted to a wide range of environmental conditions. Timely and efficient rates of nitrogen (N) application are vital for increasing wheat grain yield and protein content, and maintaining environmental sustainability. The goal of this study was to investigate the effe...
متن کاملEffect of nitrogen fertilization and cover cropping systems on sorghum grain characteristics.
Cover crop treatments and nitrogen (N) fertilization rates were investigated for their impact on sorghum grain quality attributes. Sorghum was planted in field plots treated with differing cover cropping systems and fertilization rates. The size (weight and diameter) and hardness of the kernels were influenced by both the cover crop and N rates. The protein content increased as the N rate incre...

Nitrogen (N) fertilization can greatly improve plant productivity but needs to be carefully managed to avoid harmful environmental impacts. Nutrient management guidelines aimed at reducing harmful forms of N loss such as nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions and nitrate (NO3(-)) leaching have been tailored for many cropping systems. The developing bioenergy industry is likely to make use of novel cropp...

Maize (Zea mays L.) production requires large amounts of nitrogen (N) thatdirectly affect production cost. Poultry litter can be used as an alternative source ofN. To optimize its use, poultry litter requires technical and economic feasibilityanalyses. Crop simulation models have proven to be efficient tools to support thistype of research. The objectives of this study were to determine yield a...

It is obvious that the success of a project-based organization is dependent on its projects. A variety of tools such as the project excellence model, project management maturity models, the earned value method, have been developed in this regard, but there are still delays in projects because the projects have dynamic nature with non-linear relationships and feedback processes during the projec...
